Earlier today, we reported on the prospect of DJI releasing the Mini 5 or Mini 5 Pro as a follow-up to the Mini 4 Pro from over two years ago (curr. $999.99 on Amazon). While the Mini 5 or Mini 5 Pro may not arrive for another 9 months or so, leaker @billbil_kun has revealed fresh details about another drone that could be with us as soon as next month.
Specifically, @billbil_kun claims to have received information about the DJI Flip, which has been the subject of various leaks in the last few weeks. In summary, the Flip is believed to feature a significantly larger battery than the Mini 4 Pro, despite being noticeably smaller. Moreover, the Flip can be folded up when not in use, mirroring recent HoverAir X1 series drones.
According to @billbil_kun, DJI intends to release the Flip on its for €439 (~$361) in the Eurozone, with prices rising by €200 to €639 (~$526) with an RC 2 remote controller. Meanwhile, the Flip's Fly More package is said to retail for €779 (~$641) with additional accessories and the same controller. Reportedly, DJI will launch the Flip across Europe and North America on January 14, 2025. Potentially, DJI may showcase the drone before that during CES 2025 in Las Vegas.
