The launch of DJI's next compact drone appears to be fast approaching. Publicly, the company has not revealed anything yet. However, various leakers have obtained promotional images ahead of the long-rumoured drone.
As previous rumours suggested, DJI intends to kick off this year with the Flip, which @Quadro_News alleges will centre around a 48 MP camera with a 1/1.3-inch optical format, an 82.1° field of view and 4x digital zoom at its disposal. Moreover, the camera should be capable of shooting videos in 4K with DNG and RAW photo formats also supported.
Furthermore, the DJI will advertise the Flip as lasting up to 31 minutes on a continuous flight or 28 minutes when hovering with a 16 m/s maximum speed and a 14 km range. For reference, the drone is said to achieve its peak runtime with a 22.3 Wh (7.16V) battery and a 249 g quoted weight. Allegedly, DJI will release the Flip later this month with an RC 2 controller (curr. $369 on Amazon) included as part of its Fly More Combo pack. No specific release date has emerged yet, though.
