It seems that DJI's Mavic 4 and Mavic 4 Pro drones could be with us much sooner than expected. Possibly being brought forward because of DJI's impending US ban, new leaks reveal various aspects about the Mavic 4 series, like battery upgrades and advanced positioning support.

It seems that DJI is registering a slew of new devices in the US ahead of the country's legislative bodies potentially banning sales. To recap, the company was recently spotted certifying the Flip with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the US.

Now, various sources have spotted the Mavic 4 Pro on the FCC's public database. For context, apparent references to the regular Mavic 4 appeared at the same regulatory body less than a month after the release of the DJI Neo (curr. $199 on Amazon). Incidentally, it appears that the Mavic 4 Pro has a marginally smaller battery than the Mavic 4, which should eventually arrive with a 99.5 Wh (14.76V/6,471 mAh) battery.

By contrast, the FCC has revealed that DJI has equipped the Mavic 4 Pro with a 95.3 Wh (14.32 V/6,654 mAh) battery. Please note that while DJI has created L3A and L3B models, the FCC clarifies that these are 'electrically identical' and are only named differently for marketing purposes. Unfortunately, the FCC does not provide many other practical details about the Mavic 4 nor how it will differ from the Mavic 4 or its predecessor.

Nonetheless, @OsitaLV has shared a few insights, such as the inclusion of Real-Time Kinematic (RTK) support for improved location accuracy. Moreover, the leaker reports that the Mavic 4 Cine Premium will ship with a 2 TB built-in SSD. On top of that, all Mavic 4 models should feature a primary camera with 14 stops of dynamic range and an 'advanced dual controller' like the one that DJI ships with the Matric 30 series.

Furthermore, @OsitaLV claims that Mavic 4 drones will be capable of showing a map and a flight-assist live image simultaneously. Meanwhile, DJI's new flagship drone has been spotted during a new test flight too. Although the video provides precious little new information about the Mavic 4 series, it suggests that DJI's next high-end drones are at an advanced stage of development.
