Asus has introduced a plethora of new monitors, including a dual-mode 31.5-inch ROG gaming monitor with 1080p/320 Hz and 2160p/160 Hz support. For creative professionals, on the other hand, the ProArt Display 6K promises an impressively pixel-dense experience with great color accuracy.

Asus recently introduced a bunch of new monitors targeting a vast array of users - all the way from those seeking fast-paced gaming thrills, to pixel-perfect professionals, to casual home users who appreciate smart features. Among the products, we spotted a few that were particularly interesting. Although there is no word on pricing or availability yet, more details should be available at CES 2025.

ROG Strix XG32UCG: a gamer's delight, two ways

The ROG Strix XG32UCG is a 31.5-inch gaming monitor with a 4K panel that boasts dual-mode technology. In other words, customers can toggle the display between 1080p at a whopping 320 Hz for fast-paced e-sports titles, and 4K at 160 Hz for visually immersive games, thereby offering the best of both worlds. The monitor also sports 'AI enhancements', including Dynamic Crosshair and Dynamic Shadow Boost.

As can be expected from a high-end gaming display, the product offers both G-Sync and FreeSync Premium support, along with a host of connectivity options, including HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, and a USB-C port with 15 W power delivery. Asus does not mention how color-accurate the screen is, but it is safe to say studio-grade fidelity is not the priority here.

ProArt Display 6K PA32QCV: pixels with a purpose

Next up, we have a product that sets its sights on a crowd with entirely different priorities - creative professionals. The Asus ProArt Display 6K PA32QCV monitor boasts a 32-inch IPS panel with a resolution of 6016 x 3384 pixels, resulting in a retina-grade pixel density of 216. Unsurprisingly, Asus claims the ProArt 6K to be decently color accurate, with an advertised 98% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut, along with Display HDR 600 certification. The product is also Calman-verified and factory-calibrated.

The ProArt Display 6K also sports Asus' LuxPixel technology that claims to preserve sharpness and colors while reducing reflections and glare. Connectivity options are plenty, including dual Thunderbolt 4 ports with 96 W power delivery, a USB hub, DisplayPort 1.4 (with DSC), and HDMI 2.1. Thankfully, there is an integrated KVM switch - an addition that will make life easier for a good chunk of people.

Want an OLED instead? Buy the Samsung 34" G8 OLED gaming monitor on Amazon, available for $648 at the time of writing.
