Taiwan-based ASRock has unveiled its new Phantom Gaming PGO27QFV, a 26.5-inch QD-OLED monitor tailored for gamers who place sharp visuals and high refresh rate above all else. The display has a Quad HD resolution of 2560x1440 pixels with a 16:9 aspect ratio, with a high refresh rate of 360Hz for ultra-smooth gameplay. It also features a rapid response time of 0.03ms.
The PGO27QFV's panel uses Samsung's QD-OLED technology that delivers 138% sRGB and 99% DCI-P3 color coverage for visuals. HDR support includes DisplayHDR 400 True Black and HDR10, which should ensure excellent contrast and deep black levels with a static contrast ratio of 1,500,000:1. Peak brightness reaches up to 1000 nits.
Ergonomics play a major role in its design, with options for height adjustment up to 100mm, forward and backward tilt, and 20-degree swivel capabilities. The monitor comes with anti-glare/matte coating for comfortable viewing under varied lighting conditions. VESA mounting (100x100mm) is supported for wall or arm mounting.
Connectivity options include two HDMI 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4, and a USB Type-C upstream port supporting 15W power delivery. Additionally, a headphone jack and an integrated Wi-Fi antenna cable is present as well - which is a feature not commonly seen in monitors. TÜV Rheinland-certified flicker-free technology and low blue light settings should reduce eye strain during long sessions.
With its lightweight 5.4kg build and a black finish, the ASRock PGO27QFV looks to be great for a gaming demographic. The company hasn't revealed the price or availability of the gaming monitor yet, so we'll have to wait for the same.
Speaking of high refresh-rate gaming monitors, the Samsung 27” Odyssey OLED G6 is now discounted by 31% on Amazon.
