Deal | Asus ProArt P16 4K OLED laptop with Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 and RTX 4060 now on sale at lowest ever price
Asus unveiled the 2024 ProArt P16 (H7606) laptop at Computex 2024 as a CoPilot+ PC powered by AMD’s newest Zen 5 Strix Point APUs. The notebook is aimed primarily at creators with its 16-inch Asus Lumina OLED display with a 4K resolution and an advertised 100% DCI-P3 coverage alongside up to an RTX 4070 laptop GPU.
Six months after its official debut, the Asus ProArt P16 price has now dropped to its lowest-ever level of $1,599.99 at Best Buy for an RTX 4060 SKU with the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 APU. The latest sales price of the notebook is $300 less than the $1,899.99 list price (linked below).
Asus ProArt P16 enjoys a color-accurate 4K OLED panel
As mentioned above, the Asus ProArt P16 is aimed mainly at creators who need a large laptop with a color-accurate display and decent performance to crunch through editing workloads. To that end, the Asus ProArt P16 won’t disappoint.
Starting with the screen, our ProArt P16 review unit displayed perfect blacks, complete coverage of DCI-P3/AdobeRGB, and up to 600 nits of brightness in the HDR mode. The 4K Lumina OLED touch panel is also quite color-accurate using Asus’ built-in color profiles. The panel’s only major weakness is that is only 60 Hz and not 120 Hz.
Looking at performance, our review device which was equipped with a Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 and an RTX 4070 laptop showed excellent CPU and pretty good GPU performance. The RTX 4060 laptop GPU inside the model on sale, while not as powerful as the RTX 4070, should also accelerate editing workloads. Additionally, while the ProArt P16 is not a gaming laptop, the laptop will play whatever you throw at it at FHD.
Asus has also done a good job with the cooling solution and the fan curve. The laptop is not overly hot and loud during routine use.
The Asus ProArt P16’s other strengths include an excellent keyboard and touchpad combo, a good battery life of around 8 hours and 19 minutes (measured in our WLAN test), and great speakers.
All in all, the Asus ProArt P16 is an outstanding machine that ticks almost all the important boxes. If you are a creator or just someone who wants a powerful productivity laptop, the ProArt P16 is definitely worth a look.
