The Asus ProArt P16 2026 combines the new Nvidia RTX Spark N1X with an exceptionally slim and light 16-inch chassis, an excellent tandem OLED panel, and outstanding speakers.

With the new ProArt P16, Asus is introducing one of the first laptops powered by Nvidia's new RTX Spark N1X SoC. For 2026, the manufacturer has completely redesigned the metal chassis, and the result is an impressively slim and light multimedia laptop. Weighing less than 1.8 kg, it is over 300 grams lighter than the MacBook Pro 16, for example.

Despite the slim design, you do not have to make any of the usual compromises: you still get an excellent keyboard, a great haptic trackpad, and an outstanding sound system. You can also take full advantage of the N1X's performance. Under heavy load, the fans are clearly audible at around 50 dB(A), but the device can also stay pleasantly quiet when needed.

In terms of raw GPU performance, the new ProArt P16 is on par with last year's RTX 5070 version of the ProArt P16, but it naturally cannot match the graphics performance of the RTX 5090 version, which remains better suited to gaming. The display has been carried over from the previous top-end model, giving you a 4K tandem OLED panel with a 120 Hz refresh rate, very high brightness, and accurate colors. PWM behavior has also been improved further with a higher frequency. It is simply one of the best displays you can currently get.

The main drawbacks include battery life, which falls short of 10 hours in our Wi-Fi test. That is simply the price you pay for the excellent display. Of course, the new ProArt P16 is no bargain: our high-end configuration with 128 GB of RAM costs $7000. However, if you fit the target audience (local AI workloads, content creation, gaming) and want the best hardware in a device that is as portable as possible, you can buy it with virtually no reservations. All further details are available in our in-depth review.
