Asus is in the process of launching the ProArt P16, a sleek laptop with a 120Hz OLED display, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPU and an SD Express card reader. It's now available for purchase in some European countries including Germany, where a more affordable configuration with an RTX 5060 has also been listed.

The latest version of the Asus ProArt P16 is now available in Germany and slowly appearing in other markets as well. The base model features an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop GPU is offered for €2,699 including 19% VAT. The flagship configuration with the GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop is priced at €3,099. Aside from the graphics card, both SKUs are otherwise identical. The ProArt P16 has also been listed on Amazon UK and Asus’ official US online store, indicating that customers in those countries should be able to place their orders soon.

Both model variants that are now available in Germany sport the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370, 32GB LPDDR5X RAM and a 1TB SSD. The storage can be expanded after purchase, but the second M.2-2280 slot is limited to PCIe 4.0 x2 with just 4GB/s of bandwidth. The new 16-inch Asus laptop also utilizes three fans and liquid metal thermal paste, which supposedly results in efficient and relatively quiet cooling. Under sustained load, the laptop can draw up to 120 watts, which are dynamically allocated to the processor and graphics card.

Despite its high performance, the ProArt P16 is relatively thin and measures 0.59 inches at its thinnest and 0.68 inches at its thickest point. It also weighs 4.08 lbs. Thanks to a 90Wh battery and efficient Ryzen processor, the 16-inch laptop should have decent battery life, at least as long as the dedicated Nvidia GPU isn't heavily utilized. Asus has opted for two different OLED touchscreens. One sports 2880 x 1800 pixels, 120Hz and full-screen brightness of 400 nits, while the other is a 4K panel with 60Hz and otherwise identical specifications.

In the upper left corner of the trackpad, Asus has included the so-called "Dial Pad", which should be quite practical for creative professionals who quickly switch between different tools in Photoshop or scroll through a timeline while editing video. Moreover, the laptop features two USB-C ports, one of which supports USB 4 (40Gbit/s), two USB-A ports, HDMI 2.1, and an SD Express 7.0 card reader with data rates of up to 985MB/s.
