Over a year has now passed since Asus started selling the ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDM (curr. $1,179.99 on Amazon). As it stands, no 32-inch OLED panel surpasses the 4K resolution and 240 Hz refresh rate combination that the ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDM provides. Nonetheless, TFTCentral has spied a replacement for PG32UCDM this week at Computex 2025 in Taipei.
For context, the ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDM leverages a Gen 3 QD-OLED panel produced by Samsung Display, unlike the newer ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDP. According to TFTCentral, this panel returns for the ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDMR, which Asus has showcased as 'the chosen one', which is the same strapline it uses for the PG32UCDM. Consequently, the new monitor also offers 0.03 ms GtG response times and 1,000 nits peak brightness when viewing HDR content.
However, Asus has swapped in a DisplayPort 2.1 connection with 80 Gbps bandwidth (Ultra-High Bit Rate 20/UHBR20). As a result, the ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDMR will not need to rely on Display Stream Compression (DSC) to hit 4K and 240 Hz simultaneously as the current ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDM does. Also, Asus has added OLED Care Pro and a Neo Proximity Sensor, after debuting the latter earlier this year on the ROG Swift OLED PG27UCDM and ROG Strix OLED XG27UCDMG.
TFTCentral adds that the ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDMR should be available sometime in Q3 2025. Thus, we are looking at an early autumn release at the latest or an early summer release at the earliest. Currently, TFTCentral claims to have received confirmation that the new 32-inch monitor will launch in the US for $1,299. There is no word on pricing or availability for other regions yet, though.
