Review verdict for the Asus ProArt PX13 2026 Convertible: Powerful Strix Halo GPU, fair price

At the beginning of the year, we reviewed the high-end model of the Asus ProArt PX13 convertible with the powerful Ryzen AI MAX+ and 128 GB RAM. Asus now also offers a much more affordable base model for $1899.

You still get an AMD Strix Halo SoC, but the Ryzen AI MAX+ 388 only offers eight instead of sixteen Zen 5 cores, so the multi-core performance is roughly cut in half, but the resulting performance is still good for a compact device. Users do not have to sacrifice graphics performance, because the powerful Radeon 8060S once again offers plenty of graphics and gaming performance. For the fair price of $1899 (considering the current market situation), the compact 13-inch device also offers 32 GB RAM as well as a 512 GB SSD.

The excellent keyboard is also a highlight of the device: Thanks to the generous key travel of 1.7 mm, it offers an amazing typing experience in combination with the extremely stable base unit and it even beats expensive business laptops.

However, not everything is ideal: The 13.3-inch OLED touchscreen is identical with the 2024 model and is still limited to 60 Hz. The competition clearly has an advantage with higher frequencies and also higher brightness values. Bright contents also look a bit grainy due to the touch layer. Still: There are not many powerful 13.3-inch devices, so the convertible does not really have a rival in its segment.
