Lenovo releases new Surface Pro 12 rival internationally with 5G cellular connectivity and 120 Hz display.
Lenovo has finally started selling its latest Surface Pro rival internationally. Announced in March, the ThinkPad X13 Detachable Gen 1 appeared on PSREF earlier this week with details confirming full hardware specifications and regional availability. Now, the convertible has gone on sale across Europe, just days after we reviewed the Surface Pro 12 (curr. $1,299 on Amazon).
While the Surface Pro 12 utilises Qualcomm Snapdragon X2 processors, the ThinkPad X13 Detachable Gen 1 adopts Intel's Panther Lake platform. Currently, Lenovo lists its 2-in-1 as being available with the Core Ultra 7 365 vPro in most of Europe. However, Australia and a few other countries have already received the cheaper Core Ultra 5 322 vPro and Core Ultra 5 335 vPro.
Likewise, Lenovo previously confirmed that the ThinkPad X13 Detachable Gen 1 would come with 16 GB, 32 GB or 64 GB of LPDDR5X-7467 RAM. At the time of publication, we cannot find 64 GB of RAM being sold as an option anywhere yet, though. 256 GB, 512 GB or 1 TB of PCIe 4.0 storage is available in multiple markets though, as is an optional Qualcomm Snapdragon X61 5G modem that supports Sub-6 GHz 5G.
Wi-Fi 7 connectivity is common across all SKUs though, as is a 45 Wh battery. Moreover, Lenovo includes a 13-inch display that resolves at 2,880 x 1,920 pixels in a 3:2 aspect ratio. IPS-based, this display also boasts 500 nits peak brightness, a 120 Hz refresh rate and 100% sRGB colour space coverage. Pricing starts at AUD 3,249, €3,599-€3,680 and £3,150 (~$4,239) in Australia, the Eurozone and the UK, respectively. Please see Lenovo's website for more details.
