Lenovo has finally launched its long-awaited Surface Pro rival globally. Confirming all regional SKUs in the process, the listing also reveals previously unknown details about the ThinkPad X13 Detachable Gen 1, too.
Intel Panther Lake Convertible / 2-in-1 ThinkPad Launch

Lenovo has quietly confirmed more details about its latest Surface Pro rival. To recap, the company unveiled the ThinkPad X13 Detachable Gen 1 in March during MWC 2026. Since then, Microsoft has released the Surface Pro 12 globally with Intel Panther Lake and Snapdragon X2 Elite processors (curr. $1,629 on Amazon).

Despite the head start, Lenovo has not started selling its new 2-in-1 in any capacity. Nonetheless, the company's PSREF website now reflects its launch plans. For instance, all key markets are set to receive multiple SKUs, including Africa, Europe, the UK and the US. Moreover, Lenovo has confirmed that the ThinkPad X13 Detachable Gen 1 will be available with the following processors from Intel's Panther Lake family:

  • Core Ultra 5 332 (6 cores/6 threads) (2-core Xe3 iGPU)
  • Core Ultra 5 335 (8 cores/8 threads) (4-core Xe3 iGPU)
  • Core Ultra 7 365 (8 cores/8 threads) (4-core Xe3 iGPU)

On top of that, Lenovo plans to sell its new 2-in-1 with 16 GB, 32 GB or 64 GB of LPDDR5X-7467 RAM and 256 GB, 512 GB or 1 TB of PCIe 4.0 storage via a single M.2 2242 slot. The company rates the 45 Wh on-board battery for under 11 hours of usage in the MobileMark30 test running at 250 nits. Reportedly, this 13-inch and 3:2 IPS display should reach 500 nits in SDR mode with a 120 Hz variable refresh rate and 100% sRGB colour space coverage.

Previously, Lenovo claimed that the ThinkPad X13 Detachable Gen 1 would start at €1,949 (~$2,217) in the Eurozone. Whether that remains true is unclear though, given continued memory-cost pressures affecting Lenovo and other Windows OEMs. Please see Lenovo's website for more details.
