Lenovo is now selling one of its new 16-inch ThinkPads in more countries. Equipped with up to a Core Ultra X9 388H processor, the ThinkPad P1 Gen 9 is also available with 96 GB of LPCAMM2 RAM, PCIe Gen 5 storage, a 90 Wh battery and a Tandem OLED display combining 1,500 nits peak brightness and a 120 Hz variable refresh rate.

Lenovo has released its latest ThinkPad P1 in more markets. Previously, the ThinkPad P1 Gen 9 was exclusive to Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore, where it went on sale towards the end of June. However, Lenovo's PSREF website indicated that a global launch was coming to replace the ThinkPad P1 Gen 8 we reviewed in November 2025 (curr. $4,699 on Amazon).

Now, the ThinkPad P1 Gen 9 has reached Australia, the Eurozone and the UK. By contrast, Lenovo lists the laptop as 'coming soon' across North America. In the meantime, pricing starts at AUD 5,831, €3,413-€4,055 and £3,405 (~$4,589) in Australia, the Eurozone and the UK, respectively, including taxes.

For those prices, Lenovo includes a Core Ultra 7 356H processor from Intel's Panther Lake family, 16 GB or 32 GB of LPDDR5X-8533 LPCAMM2 RAM, 512 GB or 1 TB of M.2 2280 (PCIe Gen 4) SSD and Nvidia RTX Pro Blackwell laptop GPUs in some markets. Moreover, this entry-level configuration finds itself with a 1200p IPS display capable of 500 nits peak brightness, 100% sRGB colour space coverage and a 60 Hz refresh rate.

Alternatively, Lenovo offers a raft of configuration options, including Core Ultra 7 366H, Core Ultra X7 368H vPro, Core Ultra 9 386H and Core Ultra X9 388H vPro processors. Moreover, these Panther Lake processors can be paired with 64 GB or 96 GB of LPCAMM2 RAM, 4 TB of PCIe Gen 5 storage, and a Tandem OLED display running at 3,200 x 2,000 pixels with a 40-120 Hz variable refresh rate and 1,500 nits peak brightness (600 nits SDR).

On top of that, one can configure a Snapdragon X61 5G modem for Sub-6 GHz cellular connectivity to complement the Bluetooth 5.4 and Wi-Fi 7 modem included on all SKUs. For reference, while RTX Pro 1000 Blackwell and RTX Pro 2000 Blackwell laptop GPUs are available, they top out at 8 GB of VRAM. All SKUs contain a 90 Wh battery, 140 W charging capabilities, a haptic touchpad and a fingerprint reader.
