New 16-inch HP ZBook Ultra spotted on Geekbench with 96 GB of RAM and Gorgon Halo chip
A Geekbench listing has surfaced for an unannounced HP ZBook Ultra G3a, confirming HP is bringing its Halo-class mobile workstation line to a 16-inch chassis for the first time. The only ZBook Ultra released so far, the G1a, is a 14-inch machine.
The tested unit pairs the now-official AMD Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 with 96 GB of memory, scoring 2,593 in single-core and 26,816 in multi-core performance in Geekbench 7.0.0.
What this means for the lineup
HP's current ZBook Ultra G1a stops at 14 inches and 128 GB of memory. A 16-inch G3a opens up room for a larger battery, better sustained cooling for the 495's configurable TDP of 45–120 W, and likely a jump to the 495's 192 GB memory ceiling in higher configurations—well beyond what the G1a can support. That combination would push the ZBook Ultra further into direct competition with 16-inch mobile workstations from Lenovo and Dell that have historically relied on discrete GPUs.
Release date
Neither HP nor AMD has announced the G3a. Given HP's pattern of shipping first-mover Halo laptops close to AMD's official chip launches, and with the 495 now listed on AMD's own site, a G3a unveiling looks close.
