Lenovo releases new 15-inch convertible in Europe with AMD Gorgon Point and 1,100 nit OLED display

Lenovo has finally brought its latest IdeaPad 5a 2-in-1 with a 15-inch display to Europe. For context, the 15AGP11 has been available in North America since the end of March as a successor of sorts to the Krackan Point-based IdeaPad 5 2-in-1 16AKP10 (curr. $799 on Amazon). By contrast, the smaller 14AGP11 launched simultaneously across Australia, Europe and North America at around the same time.
To recap, the IdeaPad 5a 2-in-1 (15AGP11) combines AMD's Gorgon Point platform with 60 Wh or 84 Wh batteries and a choice between 15.3-inch IPS or OLED displays. Specifically, the former outputs at 1200p with 400 nits peak brightness, a 60 Hz refresh rate and just 45% NTSC colour space coverage. By contrast, Lenovo's OLED alternative jumps to 1600p with a 165 Hz refresh rate and 100% DCI-P3 colour space coverage.
Also, this OLED display delivers 500 nits peak brightness in SDR mode with up to 1,100 nits in small areas when HDR mode is enabled. Nonetheless, all these improvements run to a £60 surcharge in the UK and a €70 surcharge in the Eurozone. As with North America, the 15AGP11 starts with the Ryzen AI 5 430 APU. However, the 2-in-1 can also be configured with the Ryzen AI 5 435 or Ryzen AI 7 445, which introduce reasonable performance gains over the Ryzen AI 5 430 according to our benchmarks.
Moreover, Lenovo includes 16 GB or 32 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM and 512 GB or 1 TB of M.2 2242 PCIe 4.0 storage. The 15AGP11 starts at £949/€1,049-€1,119 with a Ryzen AI 5 430, 16 GB of RAM, 512 GB of storage and an IPS display. Meanwhile, a fully configured model costs £1,450 in the UK and €1,469-€1,759 in the Eurozone with the Ryzen AI 7 445, 32 GB RAM, 1 TB of storage, an OLED display, Wi-Fi 7 connectivity and an 84 Wh battery.
