The latest MSI Prestige 16 isn't designed for gamers, but it can certainly be a decent gaming machine at a moment's notice
Panther Lake Arc B390 is a significant upgrade over the Arc 140T in last year's Prestige 16 by up to 80 percent while demanding almost the same amount of power.
While the Arc 140T GPU in last year's 2025 Prestige 16 was no slouch, the new Arc B390 in the latest Panther Lake processors really kick it up a notch in terms of performance. The latest Intel GPU can run modern titles at 1080p with most settings on High which is impressive for an integrated solution.
The 2026 MSI Prestige 16 AI+ C3MTG is the latest laptop model shipping with integrated Arc B390 graphics to succeed last year's Arrow Lake options. As shown by our comparison graphs below, the 2026 model handily outperforms the 2025 model by as much as 80 percent depending on the title. The performance jump is massive when considering that the Arc 140T is barely more than a year old.
Gaming performance can be even faster should the titles support XeSS upscaling. When running Cyberpunk 2077 on 1080p Ultra settings with XeSS Quality, for example, average FPS would increase from 45 to 63.
Even more impressive is the fact that the 2025 and 2026 Prestige 16 models operate under very similar power envelopes. Running Cyberpunk 2077 would consume just over 60 W on each system despite their massive performance differences.

After graduating with a B.S. in environmental hydrodynamics from the University of California, I studied reactor physics to become licensed by the U.S. NRC to operate nuclear reactors. There's a striking level of appreciation you gain for everyday consumer electronics after working with modern nuclear reactivity systems astonishingly powered by computers from the 80s. When I'm not managing day-to-day activities and US review articles on Notebookcheck, you can catch me following the eSports scene and the latest gaming news.
