We reviewed the Asus ProArt PX13 with the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 and the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop back in 2024. Asus now launched a new version for 2026 and even though there are some visual differences for the new GoPro edition, the basic chassis construction did not change. However, Asus decided to ditch the dedicated GPU from Nvidia and use AMD's Ryzen AI Max+ 395 (Strix Halo) instead. In addition to the powerful CPU, you also get the powerful Radeon 8060S GPU as well as 128 GB RAM.
But what does that mean for the user? The processor performance in single-core scenarios did not change since it is still a Zen 5 chip, so you will not notice a difference between the two systems in everyday scenarios. Multi-core load on the other hand benefits from 16 Zen 5 cores (4 more compared to the HX 370) and we see an advantage between 30-50 % depending on the benchmark. In terms of graphics performance, the situation is more problematic, because the raw GPU power of the Radeon 8060S is just marginally better compared to the old ProArt PX13 with the RTX 4070 Laptop. There is also no difference in terms of gaming performance between the two models and the current GeForce RTX 5070 would be even faster.
However, the iGPU offers the advantage of shared memory and is therefore not used to just 8 GB VRAM, which is the case for the RTX 4070 as well as the new RTX 5070. This can be a big advantage for larger video or picture editing projects, even though Nvidia has the edge in terms of CGI performance.
All in all, the new version of the ProArt PX13 is once again a very powerful and compact convertible for creative users. Please see our review for more information.
