Surface Pro but a 14-inch 2-in-1: MegaBook 2 launches with 1,000 nit OLED display

H3C has now officially presented its next MegaBook 2-in-1. Another Surface Pro competitor (curr. $1,098 on Amazon), the MegaBook 2 appeared earlier this month on Geekbench sporting a new Intel Panther Lake processor. Not only has H3C confirmed more hardware specifications, but it has revealed what its new 2-in-1 looks like, too.
Specifically, H3C has settled on the Core Ultra 5 325 and 16 GB or 32 GB of LPDDR5x RAM. An 8-core processor, the Core Ultra 5 325 combines 4 Cougar Cove P-cores clocked at 4.5 GHz and 4 Darkmont LP E-cores restricted to 3.4 GHz. Additionally, the processor features a 4-core Xe3 iGPU that falls just short of the Arc 130V powering the original MegaBook.
Meanwhile, the Core Ultra 5 325 will likely only provide modest performance gains based on our experience with the similar Core Ultra 7 355. The Core Ultra 5 325 should help make the MegaBook 2 more power-efficient than its predecessor, though. Unfortunately, H3C has included a 15% smaller battery that now totals 50 Wh out of the box.
A 2.8K and 120 Hz OLED display returns, though. Now with 1,000 nits peak brightness, the 14-inch display features a 16:10 aspect ratio rather than the 3:2 equivalent that Surface Pro owners will be familiar with. The MegaBook 2 weighs 925 g too, albeit without its detachable keyboard accessory factored in. Sales will start in China on April 11. H3C has not confirmed pricing or international availability yet, though.
