The M2 uses a 4.6 GHz Intel CPU that offers 2 performance cores and 10 efficiency cores with a total of 12 threads. The CPU is paired with 16 GB of LPDDR5-6400 RAM and 512 GB of NVM Express storage (M.2 PCI Express) running Windows 11 Home (optionally Windows 11 Pro). The M2 tablet comes with two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C ports, both of which can be used to charge the unit. It also comes with Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity.

The 60 Hz 16:10 OLED display offers 10-point multitouch input as well as pen input with 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity with the MPP-compatible (Microsoft Pen Protocol) stylus. It has a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels and a color gamut that covers 108% of the NTSC color space and 99% of the Adobe RGB color space. Maximum brightness has not been revealed. The M2 comes with a 5 MP webcam and a 13 MP main rear camera.

A detachable keyboard is included with a JIS Japanese keyboard layout and a large touchpad. It has a key pitch of 18.98 mm and a key travel of 1.9 mm. The 35 Wh battery is rated for a runtime of up to 5 hours when playing videos and can be recharged in 3.0 hours with the included 45 W USB-C PD charger. The M2 2-in-1 tablet PC has an MSRP starting at 159,800 yen (~$1,000) and is available for order from the Mouse Computer website. Readers looking for a similarly equipped 2-in-1 OLED tablet PC might consider the Surface Pro (2024) with a Snapdragon X CPU (sold here on Amazon) or the Surface Pro for Business with an Intel CPU (sold here by Microsoft). The Snapdragon CPU is not fully compatible with all Windows 11 apps, drivers, and peripherals.
