New Microsoft Surface Pro and Surface Laptop releases detailed

Almost a year has passed since Microsoft last released any new Surface Laptop or Surface Pro hardware. Even then, the Surface Laptop 13 and Surface Pro 12 (curr. $849.99 on Amazon) were smaller and cheaper alternatives to the existing ARM-powered Surface Laptop 7 and Surface Pro 11.
According to Zac Bowden, Microsoft is preparing to introduce 'new Surface PCs' soon. Writing on X, Bowden specifies that new models 'are coming this spring'. Presumably this refers to spring in the Northern Hemisphere, which runs until June 20, 2026, rather than its Southern Hemisphere equivalent.
Bowden adds that Surface fans only have a 'few more weeks' to wait, too. Moreover, they insist that Microsoft plans to offer new Qualcomm and Intel-backed machines. Previously, this has taken the form of consumer and business-focused releases, respectively.
As it stands, consumers are expected to receive Snapdragon X2-powered devices. By contrast, Intel Panther Lake should be headed to Microsoft's 'for Business range'. More details about new Surface Laptop and Surface Pro generations remain unknown, though.
