New Microsoft Pro and Surface Laptop release delay rumoured

Roland Quandt has shared new information about Microsoft's upcoming Surface PC releases. To recap, the leaker revealed various details concerning the Surface Laptop 8 and Surface Pro 12 last week.
Shortly afterwards, Windows Central elaborated with more about ARM and Intel-powered variants. Seemingly, all versions of the Surface Laptop 8 will be configurable with OLED displays, too. Moreover, Windows Central reported that new smaller Surface Pro and Surface Laptop releases were coming as well.
So it looks like Surface got pushed out by about a month. Wonder why that is. Shouldn't matter as the prices are probably going to be so bad, noone will be able to afford the things anyways.... #microslop

According to Quandt, Microsoft has decided to delay the introduction of any Surface hardware 'by about a month'. Writing on Bluesky, the leaker adds that 'prices are...so bad', albeit without elaborating further. Nonetheless, a Dutch retailer suggests that the Surface Pro 12 could be 65% more expensive than its predecessor in some cases (curr. $999 on Amazon).
Quandt's claim of a month delay likely applies to Microsoft's new Intel models. Whether this pushes these Panther Lake options into July remains to be seen at this point. By contrast, their Snapdragon X2 counterparts are expected to arrive between July and September 2026. No official pictures for any of these new Surface PCs have emerged yet, though.
