Acer releases new 16-inch laptop with Intel Panther Lake and 120 Hz OLED display

Acer has finally released its latest Swift 16 laptop in some capacity. Announced in January during CES 2026, the new Swift 16 directly replaces last year's models. This time around, Acer has swapped in Intel's Panther Lake 'X' processors, which should provide noticeable CPU and GPU performance gains over the Lunar Lake-based Swift 16 (curr. $902 on Amazon).
Currently, we can find the new Swift 16 for sale in the UK and the US. Even then, Acer is only selling Core Ultra X7 358H SKUs, despite announcing Core Ultra X9 388H alternatives in January. Still, these Core Ultra X7 358H variants feature the same 70 Wh battery and haptic trackpad that Acer revealed in January, as well as an Arc B390 iGPU also found in the Core Ultra X9 388H.

The Swift 16 AI starts at $1,549 on Best Buy and $1,599 when purchased from Acer directly for the same SKU. For reference, this variant combines the Core Ultra X7 358H with 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage. The company includes a 120 Hz OLED display that resolves at 2.8K for this price, too.
Alternatively, Acer has listed a 32 GB RAM variant with 1 TB of storage for $1,799. By contrast, this variant has reached the UK for £1,599 including taxes. Currys has already discounted it by £100 to £1,499, though. Please see Acer's website and our launch article for more details about the company's latest 16-inch laptop.
