Acer releases new lightweight 16-inch laptop with Intel Panther Lake and 32 GB RAM

Months have passed since Acer announced the Swift Go 16 with Intel Panther Lake processors. For context, the company its lightweight 16-inch laptop in January during CES 2026. Presented alongside a smaller 14-inch alternative, the Swift Go 16 was said to be coming with up to Intel's Core Ultra 9 386H processor, like many modern laptops and mini-PCs.
While the new Swift Go 16 is now available to purchase in the US, Acer has not released Core Ultra 9 386H SKUs yet. Instead, the new 16-inch laptop starts with the Core Ultra 5 322, a 6-core processor that is currently the weakest option in Intel's Panther Lake range. Alternatively, the Swift Go 16 can be configured with a Core Ultra 7 355. Not only does the Core Ultra 7 355 contain two extra performance cores than the Core Ultra 5 322, but it also contains twice as many Xe3 GPU cores.
Moreover, Acer pairs the Core Ultra 7 355 with 32 GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD, compared to 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage for its Core Ultra 5 322 sibling. Both variants feature identical 1200p OLED displays though, which deliver just 250 nits of peak brightness. Likewise, Acer includes a 70 Wh battery with support for 100 W charging, all within a package that weighs just 1.36 kg.
The new Swift Go 16 starts at $999.99 with the Core Ultra 5 322. Currently, Acer charges $1,549 for the Core Ultra 7 355 variant, a 55% increase over its Core Ultra 5 counterpart. Pricing and availability for other markets remain unknown for now.
