Acer has updated the Swift 16 to Intel's Panther Lake architecture. Equipped with up to a Core Ultra X9 388H processor and Arc B390 iGPU, the new Swift 16 AI also finds itself with a 70 Wh battery and an optional 2.8K OLED display.

Acer has updated the Swift 16 AI as part of its CES 2026 showcase. For context, the company previously equipped its 16-inch laptop with Intel Lunar Lake processors (curr. $949 on Amazon). This time around, the Swift 16 AI will be available with up to a Core Ultra X9 388H from Intel's Panther Lake family. Acer has not confirmed full Panther Lake options at this time, though.

Packing 16 CPU cores and 12 Xe3 GPU cores packaged as the Arc B390, the Core Ultra X9 388H will be configurable with up to 32 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 2 TB of M.2 storage too. Moreover, these components power either a 1200p (250 nits) or 1800p (340 nits) 16:10 OLED display with 100% DCI-P3 colour space coverage. Regardless of configuration, the Swift 16 AI will feature a 70 Wh battery, a haptic trackpad and Wi-Fi 7 connectivity.

Acer has confirmed that the Swift 16 AI will be available later this quarter. Please note that this launch window may only apply in the Eurozone. At this stage, the company has not revealed launch pricing for any markets, either.
