Lenovo has shown a ton of new laptops, both multimedia and gaming, at CES 2026. For instance, the company revealed the Legion 5a and Legion 5i Gen 11 gaming laptops with the latest AMD and Intel CPUs, respectively. Alongside these 15-inch gaming laptops, Lenovo has also unveiled the 16-inch Legion 7a Gen 11.
Rocking a thin metal chassis in either Nebula or Glacier White, the Lenovo Legion 7a (16, Gen 11) aims to be a lightweight gaming laptop that doesn’t compromise on performance. Lenovo claims that the Legion 7a Gen 11 is now both lighter and thinner than its predecessor at just 1.85 kg (4.07 lbs) and 15.5-16.9 mm, respectively. In fact, at 1.85 kg, the Legion 7a is even lighter than the newly launched Legion 5a/5i gaming laptop.
On the inside, the Legion 7a Gen 11 rocks up to a 12-core Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 CPU, an RTX 5060 laptop GPU with a max 125 W TDP, 64 GB of DDR5 memory (2 x 32), and 2 TB of storage. A large 84 Wh battery provides the necessary power. Curiously, the Legion 7a Gen 11 topping out at an RTX 5060 would be a downgrade compared to the Gen 10 Legion 7i which offered up to an RTX 5070 (available on Amazon).
The insides of the chassis are rounded off by a Wi-Fi 7/BT5.4 modem and four 2 W speakers.
On the outside, the Lenovo Legion 7a 16 Gen 11 features up to a 16-inch OLED panel with a 2,560 x 1,600 resolution, a 240 Hz refresh rate, Nvidia G-Sync, 500 nits of brightness and full DCI-P3 coverage. The display also comes pre-calibrated.
The Legion 7a Gen 11 also features a well-rounded port selection. The main connectors include two USB 4.0 ports, two Type-A connectors, an SD card reader, and an HDMI jack.
Overall, the Lenovo Legion 7a 16 Gen 11 looks like a pretty solid machine from a hardware perspective. The laptop is scheduled to go on sale in April 2026, at a starting price of $1,999.
