While Acer's Predator series is drawing stares at CES 2026 with their crazy 1,000 Hz refresh rates and 360 Hz QD-OLED offerings, the company is not leaving mainstream gamers behind. Acer is introducing a new Nitro XV270X P gaming monitor that maxes out at a 5K (5,120 x 2,880) resolution with a 165 Hz refresh rate.
The Nitro XV lineup is not strange to such specs, though. Previously, we've seen the Nitro XV270X arrive at IFA 2025 with a 5K resolution at 72 Hz and a QHD 144 Hz Dynamic Frequency and Resolution (DFR) mode. This time, however, Acer is upping the ante by increasing the 5K refresh rate to 165 Hz in the Nitro XV270X P.
The Nitro XV270X P supports this resolution via HDMI 2.1 or DisplayPort 1.4. Competitive gamers looking for even faster refresh rates can leverage the DFR mode that enables 1440p gaming at 330 Hz.
Acer says that the Nitro XV270X P is capable of a 0.5 ms minimum grey-to-grey response time for ultra-low latency and supports AMD FreeSync Premium for tear-free visuals. The company also cites a 100,000,000:1 "native contrast ratio", which seems far-fetched considering that there is no indication this is a dual-layer IPS and is definitely not a professional-grade monitor.
That being said, the monitor apparently conforms to Acer HDR400 with a peak brightness of 400 nits and 95% DCI-P3 coverage.
The Nitro XV270X P offers 2x HDMI 2.1-in, 1x DisplayPort 1.4-in, audio-out and built-in dual 2 W speakers. The supplied stand allows for tilt, swivel, height, and pivot adjustments.
The Acer Nitro XV270X P is slated to be available in North America and China in Q2 2026 for $799.99 and ¥6,999, respectively, and in the EMEA from Q3 2026 starting at €899.
