Armed with a fast Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and 256 GB of UFS 4.0 storage, the Legion Tab Gen 3 is powerful enough to run demanding mobile games. In our testing, the Legion Tab Gen 3 played Genshin Impact at 60 FPS, while League of Legends hit 120 FPS.
Games will look and feel nice on the Legion Tab Gen 3, as the tablet packs an 8.8-inch LTPS display with a 165 Hz refresh rate. Unfortunately, Lenovo cut some corners here to keep the price down. So, our testing reveals that the display falters when it comes to contrast and brightness. That said, the Lenovo Legion Tab Gen 3 is plenty bright if you plan to game indoors, as it can hit a maximum of 441 nits in SDR and up to 900 nits in HDR. There is also no PWM flickering at low brightness levels.
The Lenovo Legion Tab Gen 3 also lacks a fingerprint scanner, a cellular modem, and a charger in the box. However, the Legion Tab Gen 3 does include fast Wi-Fi 7.
Other important hardware aspects of the Legion Tab Gen 3 include a low weight of just 0.3 kg (0.77 lbs.), two Type-C ports, a vapor chamber, and a large 6,550 mAh battery, which lasted over 17 hours in our Wi-Fi websurfing test. The tablet also supports the Lenovo Tab Pen Plus, which you can buy on Amazon.
Long story short, the Lenovo Legion Tab Gen 3 is an Android gaming tablet that is compact, lightweight, and powerful enough to run any mobile game you want.
