Lenovo teases cross-ecosystem features for its new compact Legion gaming tablet

Lenovo is preparing to launch a brand-new gaming tablet, the Legion Y700 Gen 5. So far, the company has officially showcased the design of the pad, shared the display details, and revealed one networking feature. Now, with a new teaser, the brand is teasing the device's cross-connectivity feature.

Called Super Interconnect 3.0, according to Lenovo, it will enable "smooth cross-ecosystem" collaboration. Most notably, there's iOS device interconnection, allowing the gaming tablet to connect with iPhones. This is something that Chinese manufacturers like Xiaomi and Honor have been exploring with their latest devices. In most cases, such cross-ecosystem features with iOS remain restricted, and it will be interesting to see how Lenovo executes it.

The company further highlights that Super Interconnect 3.0 allows easy drag-and-drop file transfers. This feature will also enable the Legion Y700 Gen 5 to act like a secondary display for a gaming PC. Of course, even though the small size of the screen may make it a less viable option for productivity, this feature can be useful in portable setups (portable ASUS ZenScreen curr. $159 on Amazon).

There's notification sharing as well, which promises to make it easier for users to catch up with things. It seems that the same interconnectivity tech will also be present on the other tablet that Lenovo is currently working on, the Xiaoxin Tablet Pro GT13.

Getting back to the Legion Y700 Gen 5, previously, Lenovo confirmed that it will feature an 8.8-inch display with a 165 Hz refresh rate. It's expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, which will reportedly be paired with up to 24 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage. Past reports have also hinted at a 9,000 mAh battery with 68 W fast charging support, and the launch is expected to happen in China sometime in March 2026. The company is expected to confirm these specs through upcoming teasers.
