Honor Pad X8b: 11-inch budget Android tablet launched

Honor has confirmed that it will launch the flagship MagicPad 4 tablet globally. Ahead of that, the company has now introduced a new budget Android tablet in Saudi Arabia: the Honor Pad X8b.
The Pad X8b has a metal body that measures 7.25mm in thickness and weighs 496g. The tablet features an 11-inch IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,200 pixels and 207 PPI. The display supports a 90 Hz refresh rate and carries TÜV Rheinland certifications for low-blue-light and a flicker-free experience.
The Honor Pad X8b uses the Snapdragon 680 chipset along with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory. For reference, Qualcomm launched the Snapdragon 680 in October 2021. It has powered various tablets, including the Xiaomi Redmi Pad SE, which scored around 201K points in AnTuTu v9 in our review.
The Honor Pad X8b has a 5MP rear camera with autofocus and a 5MP selfie camera. In terms of software, it uses MagicOS 10 based on the Android 16 operating system. Notably, the Pad X8b has a 10,100mAh battery (10K Iniu powerbank curr. $20 on Amazon) and a quad-speaker setup.
The tablet (Wi-Fi model) has launched in Saudi Arabia with a single Space Gray color option. It has a retail price of SAR 849, which translates to roughly $226. However, the company is currently offering it for a discounted price of SAR 649 (~$173). At the time of writing, there is no official information on availability in other regions.
