The Honor Magic 8 Pro Air is now available via direct import at TradingShenzhen. The smartphone is offered for prices starting at $898 for the 12/256GB version. The 16/512GB variant costs $992, while the 1TB model is priced at $1,097.
According to the retailer, shipping to Europe takes between 10 and 16 business days. If additional import fees apply, TradingShenzhen might reimburse these costs for European customers. That said, buyers won’t be able to take advantage of the mandatory European warranty, but the retailer provides a shorter 1-year limited warranty. In addition to that, TradingShenzhen points out the caveats of the imported Chinese unit during checkout. These include the lack of eSIM support and the fact that the "OK Google" voice command does not work. Fortunately, the Google Play Store can be accessed.
With that out of the way, the name already makes it clear that the Magic 8 Pro Air tries to be an Android alternative to the iPhone Air. However, Honor has not made too many compromises to make the phone as thin as possible. Therefore, the Magic 8 Pro Air is 0.24 inches thick and sports a 5,500mAh battery. The handset even features a telephoto camera on the back. Moreover, the Honor phone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9500, and offers a 6.31-inch AMOLED display with an advertised peak brightness of 6,000 nits.
