Honor has only just updated its Magic8 series with the Magic8 Pro Air and Magic8 RSR in China. Nonetheless, the company has already begun teasing the release of its book-style foldable. At the same time, leakers continue to divulge details about Honor's Magic V5 successor ahead of time (curr. $1,620 on Amazon).
According to Digital Chat Station, Honor plans to offer the Magic V6 in four colours that they describe as Red Rabbit, Snow White, Sunrise Gold and Velvet Black. However, it remains to be seen whether Honor will make all these colours available globally. Setting that aside, the leaker also summarises that the Magic V6 will launch in its home market with the following hardware highlights:
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset
- 200 MP primary camera
- Periscope telephoto camera
- ~7,000 mAh battery
- BeiDou satellite messaging support
Also, Digital Chat Station teases that the Magic V6 will be thinner and lighter than its predecessor. For context, while the Magic V5 officially came in at 8.8-9.0 mm and 217-222 g, we observed significant variances in our tests. The weight and thickness of the Magic V6 remain unclear at this point, though. Regardless, previous performance indicates that the Magic V6 will be thinner and lighter than the Galaxy Z Fold7, which comes in at 8.9 mm and 215 g, regardless of which colour you opt for.
