Samsung has now officially confirmed US pricing and availability for the Galaxy Z TriFold. For context, details about both emerged on Reddit over the weekend and into the start of this week. While launch date rumours were accurate, reported pricing was wide of the mark.
As expected, the Galaxy Z TriFold will be available to purchase in the US on January 30. Specifically, Samsung will begin selling the device at 15:00 UTC, or 10:00 EST. Contrary to rumours, the device will be sold both on Samsung's website and through its Experience Stores.
Moreover, Samsung has settled on $2,899 as launch pricing rather than the $2,759 that was rumoured. Still, this comes up short compared to prior indications that the Galaxy Z TriFold would launch for $3,000. Ultimately though, this pricing makes the Galaxy Z TriFold more expensive in the US than in other markets like China and South Korea.
For that price, Samsung includes 16 GB of RAM, 512 GB of storage and a 5,600 mAh battery backed by 45 W wired charging. While the Galaxy Z TriFold features the same camera hardware and 6.5-inch cover display as the Galaxy Z Fold7 (curr. $1,599 on Amazon), it extends to a 10-inch internal panel when unfolded.
