Asus releases new 14-inch 2-in-1 with 144 Hz OLED display; global launch coming soon

Microsoft is expected to unveil a new Surface Pro within the next few weeks featuring a choice between Intel Panther Lake and Qualcomm Snapdragon X2 processors. Currently, the Surface Pro 12 is anticipated to arrive globally in mid-May alongside the Surface Laptop 8. Microsoft has not even teased as much yet, though.
In the meantime, Asus has finally started selling its long-awaited ProArt PZ14. A replacement of sorts for the ProArt PZ13 (curr. $1,159 on Amazon), the ProArt PZ14 grows to 319.6 x 206.3 x 90 mm to accommodate a 14-inch display with a 16:10 aspect ratio. An OLED panel, the larger display outputs at 2,880 x 1,800 (2.8K) with 0.2 ms response times and a 144 Hz refresh rate. Also, the display peaks at 500 nits in SDR mode and 1,000 nits in HDR mode.
Moreover, Asus has pivoted its ProArt PZ to Qualcomm's Snapdragon X2 platform. Specifically, the company equips the ProArt PZ14 with the Snapdragon X2 Elite (X2E-88-100), a 3 nm chipset that outperforms the Snapdragon X Plus X1P-42-100 powering the ProArt PZ13 by around 70% in our benchmarks. Not only that, but the ProArt PZ14 also features a 75 Wh battery for a 7% upgrade over its predecessor.
Asus has opened ProArt PZ14 pre-orders in China for CNY 12,999 (~$1,900) with 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage, down from an MSRP of CNY 13,999 (~$2,049). Meanwhile, the company has confirmed that pricing will reach the Eurozone with 32 GB of RAM for €2,499 (~$2,929) in Spain and €2,699 (~$3,165) in Italy. Asus has listed the ProArt PZ14 in both countries too, indicating that the 2-in-1 should soon be available internationally.
