Racing Master global launch confirmed for May 8 on iOS and Android

Racing Master, the mobile racing title developed by NetEase Games in collaboration with Codemasters, launches globally on May 8, 2026, on iOS and Android. The game has been in development since 2021 and spent five years in regional testing before this Western release. Pre-registration is live now on the App Store and Google Play.
The global launch covers Europe, North America, and the Middle East. Players on existing Asian, Latin American, and Japanese servers will not have their progress transferred, as those regions run on separate server infrastructure. The Western launch is a fresh opportunity for new players.
What is Racing Master
Racing Master positions itself as a simulation-focused alternative to the arcade racing games that have dominated mobile. The car roster sits at over 120 officially licensed vehicles from more than 30 brands, including Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Bugatti, Aston Martin, and Koenigsegg. Engine sounds were recorded directly from the actual cars rather than synthesised, and Codemasters' involvement covers the physics and handling systems. The result, based on Asian player feedback, is a game that sits closer to the console end of the mobile racing spectrum than anything currently on the market.
Real-world circuits make up the track list: Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Red Bull Ring, Yas Marina Circuit, and Shanghai International Circuit are all in the game, alongside city street courses set in Chicago, San Francisco, Barcelona, Sicily, Amsterdam, and the Alps. Dynamic weather is active across all tracks, changing braking points and traction mid-race. Three control schemes are supported: virtual buttons, tilt steering, and a virtual wheel.
Coming to a clear gap in the market
Racing Master is entering the mobile space at a specific moment. Real Racing 3 shut down in September 2023 after a decade, and Asphalt Nitro also ended service, leaving a gap at the top of the mobile simulation racing space that nothing has convincingly filled since. NetEase is directly targeting that vacancy.
The game has already validated that positioning in Asia. It topped the App Store's free game charts across multiple markets at launch, was named 2025 Game of the Year in several regions, and held the number one spot on iOS download charts for 10 consecutive days in key markets. Players who participated in the closed beta will receive a 150% rebate on their in-game purchases in Gems when the global version launches.
Racing Master is free to play and available to pre-register now on the App Store and Google Play ahead of the May 8 launch.
