The RPG is set to disappear for good this June, with downloads and in-app purchases ending today, May 7. No offline version is planned, and all player data will be permanently deleted when the servers close.

Ash Echoes is shutting down, and players have until the end of today to download it for the last time. Neocraft Limited confirmed on May 6 that the interdimensional real-time tactics RPG will end service on June 18, 2026. Downloads and in-app purchases close today, May 7, which means this is the last chance to install the game before that option disappears.

Ash Echoes launched globally in November 2024 across iOS, Android, Steam, and PC. The game is set in The World Senlo, a fractured realm reshaped by a dimensional rupture called the Skyrift, where players take on the role of the Director of S.E.E.D. and lead a team of Echomancers through real-time tactical combat. The game built a small but dedicated community, with players particularly drawn to its anime-influenced character designs and story-heavy structure. It never found the broader audience it needed to sustain live-service costs, generating a lifetime total of approximately $865,000 in global player spending. That was not enough to support ongoing development.

What happens before June 18

The final content update, Chapter 9 of the Main Story Event, goes live today alongside the download cutoff. Players who already have the game installed can continue playing and complete the story through to the end of service on June 18. From today onwards, daily login rewards, including Resonance Clue and Momentary Backflash, will be distributed automatically until the servers go offline.

Neocraft is offering account transfers to two of its other titles, Tree of Saviour: Neo and Tales of Wind: Radiant Rebirth. Players who transfer will receive full compensation for any purchases made in Ash Echoes paid out in in-game currencies for those titles. No offline version of the game is planned, and all player data will be permanently deleted when servers close on June 18. Neocraft has not given a specific reason for the shutdown in its official statement.

A short run in a crowded market

Ash Echoes launched into one of the most competitive windows the anime RPG mobile market has seen in years, going live the same month as several higher-profile gacha titles with larger marketing budgets and established IP recognition. The game never crossed one million downloads globally, and revenue had dropped to near zero from December 2025 onwards. The Steam download channel was closed in February 2025, restricting new players to mobile installs only, an early sign that the player base was not growing at the rate needed.

Ash Echoes joins a growing list of mobile titles ending service in 2026.
