CookieRun: Kingdom Timeline of Fate launches

Devsisters dropped the Timeline of Fate update for CookieRun: Kingdom, and it is a big one. Act 2 is officially underway. Two new Cookies are live, the story has taken a hard left into time travel, and a stack of new systems have landed alongside it. The update is free on iOS and Android.

The story context: Dark Enchantress Cookie is dealt with. Act 1 is done. Shadow Milk Cookie wastes no time. He steals a fragment of the Ultimate Cookie's dough and the Beast's Soul Jams, then disappears into the past and cracks the timeline wide open. Reality starts fracturing across past, present, and future at once. That is the setup for Act 2, and Timekeeper Cookie is the one who has to hold it together. The first episode of the new World Exploration region, Ash-Bound Soul, is live right now. More story is coming with the next update.

New Cookies

Timekeeper Cookie is a new Legendary. She deals damage, disrupts enemy attacks, and hard-counters revived opponents by stopping them from rejoining the fight. Ash Salt Cookie is a new Epic built purely for aggression: she dives into enemy lines, applies sustained debuffs, and keeps pressure on. A 6-star growth system for Legendary Cookies is also rolling out with this update, though it expands to existing Legendary characters over time rather than all at once.

Two new battle mechanics ship with the update. Unstable Timeline is a battle rule that buffs enemies and slows your entire team's movement and attack speed. Timeline reconstruction is how you fight back: it strips enemy advantages, clears harmful effects from your Cookies, and speeds up team abilities. The Exploration Logbook tracks discoveries as you move through the new region and pays out rewards as you fill it in.

The rest of the update

Arcade Arena is back. Four limited-time seasons run back-to-back from today through June 4, each with its own rotating battle rules. Kingdom Affairs is a new shortcut hub that pulls daily activities, rewards, and management tasks into one screen. The Choco Cake Tower goes up to 55 trays, and two new Beings of Ancient Scriptures costumes arrive for Black Sapphire Cookie and Candy Apple Cookie.

CookieRun: Kingdom has 80 million players. The wider CookieRun franchise across all titles has passed 300 million cumulative players and crossed $1 billion in lifetime revenue. A New York City pop-up earlier this year pulled more than 40,000 visitors in ten days. The IP landed on YouTube's Global Culture and Trends Report 2025 as one of the top 10 trending topics in the US.

The franchise has been pushing beyond mobile for a while now. The KPop Demon Hunters collaboration ran inside CookieRun: Kingdom from April 8 through May 6, bringing the three members of HUNTR/X into the game as playable Cookies alongside a new story set in the Dark Cacao Kingdom. KPop Demon Hunters won Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song at the 98th Academy Awards, making it one of the higher-profile collabs the game has landed
