Anker launching new Air Ultra-Thin magnetic power bank: Only 8.6mm thick

Barely a month after Ugreen released the new Ugreen MagFlow Air Qi2 15W Ultra-Slim 5,000 mAh Power Bank, Anker is now launching its own Air-branded power bank. The new Anker Air Ultra-Thin Magnetic Power Bank has been released in China and features the same ultra-thin 8.6 mm design as the Ugreen model, but comes in more vibrant colors.
To recap, Anker already sells the Anker Nano Power Bank (5K, MagGo, Slim), (curr: $59.99 at Amazon), in the US, which also features a slim 8.6 mm profile. The new 5,000 mAh model is largely similar, but it has now been updated to support China's 2026 mandatory power bank safety standard, which includes stricter safety requirements such as rigorous puncture testing and enhanced overcharge protection. Users can also monitor battery health and temperatures through a mobile app.
However, unlike most recent magnetic power banks, the new Anker Air Ultra-Thin Magnetic Power Bank only supports 15W wireless charging, which is noticeable slower than new Qi2.2 power banks that supports 25W speeds. According to Anker, that is enough to charge a dead iPhone 17 Pro to 23% in 30 minutes. On top of that, the power bank is shown with a USB-C port, but Anker has not specified the wired charging speeds. That said, the power bank will initially be available in Snow White, Sea Salt Blue, and an orange finish similar to the iPhone 17 Pro (Notebookcheck review).
In addition to the Air, Anker also released an Air+ version with a 10,000 mAh capacity. This model is slightly thicker at 14.6 mm but offers more capacity and faster 30W wired USB-C charging. Users can already purchase the Air+ version through JD.com in China, while the 5,000 mAh Air model has yet to go on sale. Other slim alternatives include the Xiaomi UltraThin Magnetic Power Bank, which features an even thinner 6 mm design.
