Kakao Games has confirmed Eversoul will end service on June 30, 2026. In-app purchases are already disabled and refunds are available for recent purchases.

Kakao Games has announced that Eversoul will end service globally on June 30, 2026. The collectible RPG, developed by Nine Ark, launched in January 2023 and built a dedicated following before its decline. All in-app purchases were disabled on April 29, the same day the announcement was made.

Eversoul is set in Eden, a world reshaped after Earth's destruction, where players take on the role of a Savior who recruits and bonds with Souls across six unique factions. The game distinguished itself with anime-style visuals, a Bond System that drew comparisons to dating-sim games, and a town-building layer that added depth beyond standard idle RPGs. At its peak, it ranked as high as fourth place in Google Play revenue charts globally.

What players need to do now

Players who made purchases between March 29 and April 29, 2026, can request refunds, provided the items purchased remain unused. Refund requests must be submitted before June 30. Requests can be made through the in-game menu by going to Settings, then Account, then User Guide and Coupons, then Contact Us, and selecting the Payment Related category. Players who can no longer access the game can submit refund requests directly.

The game remains playable until the shutdown date. All in-game data will be permanently deleted when servers go offline on June 30. Downloads and access to the official community channels will also end on the same day.

A pattern of decline

The global shutdown follows the same path taken by the Japanese version of Eversoul, which closed in August 2025 after just over a year of service. The JP version launched in May 2024 and was pulled amid declining revenue and a decision to cut full voice acting support, a move that failed to reverse the game's downward trajectory.

In its official statement, Kakao Games said the decision came after "carefully considering various circumstances," the standard language for a game that could not sustain its live service costs against falling player spend. Kakao Games recently received a $198 million strategic investment from LY Corporation, which became its largest shareholder, but that did not extend to Eversoul's future.

Eversoul joins a growing list of mobile titles that have ended service in 2026. Notebookcheck previously covered the shutdown of Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile, which went offline on April 17 after Activision redirected its mobile players to Call of Duty: Mobile.
