Call of Duty: Mobile Season 4 Eternal Prison goes live today

Call of Duty: Mobile Season 4, titled Eternal Prison, goes live today, April 22, at 5 PM PT on iOS and Android. The update brings Rebirth Island to both Battle Royale and DMZ: Recon, a Godzilla x Kong Monsterverse crossover, a new weapon, and a new Battle Royale class.
The timing is not coincidental. Warzone Mobile went permanently offline on April 17, and Activision is clearly using Season 4 to give its displaced mobile player base somewhere to land.
Rebirth Island comes to DMZ: Recon
In DMZ: Recon, Rebirth Island gets a full extraction overhaul built around the prison setting. Getting into the walled zone requires activating gate switches that trigger a 30-second countdown before all gates open simultaneously for 10 seconds.
Extraction requires two terminals to be activated at the same time. The first extraction call triggers a rooftop boss fight against AI-controlled Nikto, who arrives with a Riot Shield and aerial backup.
A patrolling submarine fires missiles at players caught in its line of sight, and a radiation zone expands from the shoreline inward as the match progresses, closing off extraction points until only the central prison remains.
A new crafting system also lets players combine materials found in the environment to build weapons they can carry into future matches.
Battle Royale changes
In Battle Royale, respawn limits have been removed entirely. UAV Towers, Contracts, and Buy Stations are now on the map, and Killstreaks, including Bomb Drones and Precision Airstrikes, can be purchased mid-match.
Godzilla x Kong and Battle Pass
The Godzilla x Kong event runs throughout the season with missions, Draws, and a Hollow Earth energy mini-game. Cosmetic rewards include Titan-themed operator skins for both Godzilla and Kong, plus a Legendary Purifier with a Shimo-inspired design.
The DP27 LMG is the free Battle Pass weapon, a high-capacity light machine gun with a signature top-mounted pan magazine. The new Toxic Overload Battle Royale class, unlocked via the Seasonal Store, spreads radiation that slows and damages enemies for area denial. Call of Duty: Mobile Season 4 Eternal Prison is live now on iOS and Android.
If you are looking for more mobile shooter news, Rainbow Six Mobile is also shaking things up this month with a major ranked overhaul, a new Legendary tier, and monthly Operations on the way.
