Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 early access, open beta dates confirmed

Activision and Infinity Ward have been showing off features for the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 instalment since the first reveal trailer almost two months ago. With the game launching October 23, the team has shared dates for early access and the open beta tests.
Call of Duty: NEXT event will be held on August 21, where the team will showcase live gameplay, details about the multiplayer, developer insights, and more. Right after the event, early access will be live for those who have pre-ordered the game. It will end on August 25, allowing players early access to try out the new operators, weapons, and the new Kill Block.

The open beta will then start on August 28 and run through September 1. This test run, however, will be open to Nintendo Switch 2 players as well. Speaking of which, pre-orders for the Switch 2 version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will commence on August 26, but pre-orders are not necessary to try out the open beta.
The reveal trailer showed the setting for the game, which was in line with leaks from several months before. Since then, the team has shown some gameplay through the From The Ward YouTube series. Addressing fan concerns, they have already promised that there won’t be any clowny skins this time around, and that the omnimovement system has been tweaked to be more grounded.
