Activision reveals system requirements for Modern Warfare 4 Beta on PC

Activision has released the official PC system requirements for the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Beta. Unsurprisingly for some, the minimum end of this tier is really low-spec, and most gamers won’t have a hard time trying to run the beta. At a minimum, players will need a GeForce GTX 970, GTX 1060, or Radeon RX 470. Intel users will need the relatively more recent Arc A580; however, according to Activision, the title requires only 3GB of VRAM as a minimum.
For the minimum CPU and memory requirements, players will need an AMD Ryzen 5 1600 or the Intel Core i5-8400, along with 12GB of RAM. The minimum OS is 64-bit Windows 10, and you'll also need an SSD.
For the recommended requirements, we’re looking at 8GB of VRAM. That means you’re going to need a GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, Radeon RX 6700 XT, or the Intel Arc B580. Recommended CPU and memory are the Ryzen 5 3600 or Intel Core i7-8700, plus 16GB of RAM. The recommended OS is Windows 11 (64-bit), and as always, an SSD is recommended.
PC players will also need TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot enabled on their systems. This ensures RICOCHET Anti-Cheat™ functions properly and provides the best possible experience for all players. Without both enabled, Activision has warned players that they won’t be able to play the beta online.
No projected storage capacity requirements in tow
Although the system requirements don't mention storage, a handy feature is coming in the beta release. The Modern Warfare 4 PC beta will introduce shader pre-loading. This feature allows you to load the shaders for the game in the background before the game starts, vastly reducing the shader processing required when you actually launch the game.
Shader pre-loading will be supported on Battle.net from the first beta installation, while those on Steam will still be required to undergo a shader compilation process on the first launch. The Modern Warfare 4 Beta will launch on August 21 at 11:00 AM PT, after the Call of Duty: NEXT broadcast. The Early Access period lasts till August 25, while the Open Beta runs from August 28 till September 1. Activision has clarified that the final game's requirements may differ from the beta requirements currently posted.
