Update | Epic Games Store announces new free Mystery Game giveaways for May 2026

Update - May 9, 2026 10:25 AM GMT
The Epic Games Store has now shared its Mystery Game teaser. Embedded below, the right-hand teaser appears to show a tree-like figure.
Original article continues as follows:
The Epic Games Store is now giving away two games. Available until May 14, Arranger: A Role-Puzzling Adventure is the only one of the two that is available to claim on macOS and Windows. By contrast, Epic Games' Trash Goblin giveaway is exclusive to Windows.
Typically, the storefront would have announced which games it intended to discount by now. However, Epic Games has decided to keep its plans a secret, at least for the time being. This time, it has decided to return to its Mystery Game promotion strategy, which returns sporadically throughout the year.
Currently, Epic Games has confirmed that two games will unlock on May 14. As always, these will become available to claim at 15:00 UTC. While the storefront has not confirmed as much yet, these games tend to be discounted for a week before returning to their full retail prices.
Unfortunately, Epic Games has not shared any further teasers for now. Based on past performance, it will eventually tweet a short video on its social media channels for people to decode ahead of May 14. There is every chance that Epic Games will discount other games in the meantime though, as proved the case this week with Hogwarts Legacy (curr. $25.99 on Amazon).
