Lenovo details upcoming Legion Y900 gaming tablet with 144 Hz display and flagship SoC

Like most of the popular OEMs, Lenovo is no stranger to churning out pre-release teasers to drive up product hype. The latest round of teasers surrounds the upcoming Lenovo Y900 gaming tablet, which is expected to launch on the 19th of May.
Lenovo Legion Y900: A true flagship gaming tablet is around the corner
Courtesy of previous teasers, we already have a pretty decent idea of what the tablet will pack under its hood. With 11.1" and 13" display options, the upcoming Legion Y900 gaming tablet will feature a resolution of 3840 x 2560, allowing for an impressive pixel density of 415 and 355 respectively. The display will refresh at 144 Hz and feature a 360 Hz touch sampling rate that can spike to 2340 Hz.
Folks who really care about color reproduction will be pleased to note that Lenovo has claimed DCI-P3 coverage as well as impressive color accuracy with ΔE below 1. The second-gen Lenovo stylus pro will also be supported, featuring a whopping 8,192 pressure levels, which should appease the artistic kind.

At its core, Lenovo simply states that the Legion Y900 gaming tablet will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC. Although the exact details regarding the SKU have not been revealed, we can expect the SoC to be the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, since that happens to be the latest.
The Legion gaming tablet is set to be aesthetically sleek as well
Ever since the latest Apple iPad Pro (currently $1,182.81 on Amazon) hit the scene, tablet makers have been taking overall thinness very seriously. The 13-inch Legion Y900 gaming tablet is no different and has been confirmed to feature an enclosure that is only 5.9 mm thick and weighs in at just under 600 grams.
Other notable features that have been revealed include support for a new smart keyboard case with adjustable RGB backlighting and 1.5 mm of key travel. A generously sized trackpad is also present, although multi-touch capabilities have not yet been confirmed. The gaming tablet will also feature a six-speaker setup courtesy of Harman Kardon.
The compact 8.8-inch Lenovo Legion Y700 gaming tablet is already available in the international market as the Lenovo Legion Tab. Whether or not the Legion Y900 also makes it to the broader global market remains to be seen.
