Moza R5 Pro bundle brings upgraded torque, improved feedback, and more

Moza has released an update to it relatively budget R5 racing bundle (our review). The R5 Pro bundle brings some minor improvements without a price increase. The wheelbase, steering wheel, and the pedals have been somewhat upgraded, with most of the improvements pertaining to the wheelbase.

Moza R5 Pro racing simulator bundle features

The original Moza R5 direct drive wheelbase was rated for 5.5 Nm of torque despite its compact form factor. The PC-only R5 Pro wheelbase maintains the compact build but switches to less boxy design, and ups the torque to 6 Nm. Moza has also updated its force feedback algorithm to NexGen 5.0, which it claims delivers a more refined and realistic experience. The 21-bit high resolution magnetic encoder is said to deliver 64 times the precision.

The ES Steering wheel that came with the R5 bundle has been “upgraded” to the ES Lite. The size, buttons, LEDs, and shape remain the same, but the pedals are now metal. Rubber grips have been added to the sides and the center strip seems to be wider with the ES Lite.

The SR-P Lite pedals have been upgraded to SR-P Lite2, but retain the two-pedal combo with room for expansion. They are Hall effect pedals with a good amount of adjustability and durable high-strength steel construction. There are ample upgrade options available as well.

Moza R5 Pro racing simulator bundle price and availability

The R5 Pro bundle is priced at $399 and is available for purchase via the official website. The SR-P Lite2 Clutch pedal will be an extra $40 add-on. Moza estimates shipping to start mid-August.
