New Lenovo desktop launches globally with 120 Hz display, dual SSDs and up to 32 GB RAM
Lenovo has added a new model to its ThinkCentre all-in-one (AIO) desktop lineup. For context, the company released the ThinkCentre Neo 50a Gen 6 in 24-inch and 27-inch sizes only a few weeks ago. A few days later, it then started selling the ThinkCentre X AIO Aura Edition with its unusual 16:18 aspect ratio display.
Now, the company has launched another ThinkCentre Neo 50a on its PSREF website. Despite only releasing Gen 6 models last month, Lenovo has already transitioned to a Gen 7 edition with plans to offer the desktop globally. While Gen 6 editions utilised Intel's Lunar Lake architecture, their Gen 7 successor adopts the Core 5 320 and Core 7 350 from Intel's Wildcat Lake family.
Additionally, 16 GB or 32 GB of LPDDR5X-7467 RAM should be available, as should up to a 1 TB SSD via a PCIe 4.0 x4 capable M.2 2280 slot. Moreover, Lenovo includes a second M.2 2280 slot for adding another PCIe 4.0 x4 SSD. Meanwhile, the company populates an M.2 2230 slot with up to Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity.
The ThinkCentre Neo 50a 24 Gen 7 contains Gigabit Ethernet too, along with four USB Type-A ports, dual USB Type-C connectivity and a full-sized HDMI 2.1 (TMDS) input/output. Compared to the current Apple iMac (curr. $1,459 on Amazon), the new ThinkCentre also has a choice of 120 Hz displays in its corner.
Distinguished by multi-touch and non-touch capabilities, these IPS displays output at 1,920 x 1,080 pixels with 350 nits peak brightness, a 1,500:1 contrast ratio and 99% sRGB colour space coverage. Please see Lenovo's PSREF website for more details, including full regional SKUs.
