GMKtec debuts powerful AMD PC lineup with up to RTX 5070 and liquid cooling

GMKtec has introduced a desktop PC lineup, the Neo-X1 series. There are two models: one standard and one Pro. Both are based on the AMD MoDT platform, meaning that they feature mobile processors.

Among the two, the non-Pro model features the AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX, and GMKtec has paired this powerful Dragon Range mobile processor with the Nvidia RTX 5060Ti 8G desktop GPU.

The Neo-X1 Pro, on the other hand, has the Ryzen 9 9955HX3D, which features 64M 3D V-Cache for enhanced 3D performance. This PC is paired with an Nvidia RTX 5070 12GB desktop GPU, and this combination makes the system capable of handling most games at the QHD resolution.

Both desktops come with a liquid cooler installed on the CPU. GMK says that this cooling setup allows the AMD processors to offer up to 160W of performance. Another thing that’s worth noting is that the PCs will come with an 850W Gold PSU, which should be enough for both the CPU and the GPU.

Other than that, the Neo-X1 PCs are set to have two M.2 slots for SSDs (2TB Samsung 990 Pro curr. $389.99 on Amazon), up to 64GB of DDR5 RAM, and a Mac Pro-like chassis design. GMK didn’t share when the MoDT computers will launch, but the company confirmed that the non-Pro will start at CNY 11,999, around $1,773. The Pro, on the other hand, is set to launch with a starting price of CNY 16,999, about $2,512.
