Lenovo has unveiled a new ThinkCentre AIO PC. The new ThinkCentre neo 50a 27 Gen 7 moves to Intel Wildcat Lake processors and adds a smoother 120Hz touchscreen with up to 32GB of LPDDR5x RAM and dual M.2 PCIe Gen 4 SSD slots.

Lenovo is expanding its ThinkCentre all-in-one (AIO) desktop lineup with another Intel Wildcat Lake-powered model. To recap, the company recently unveiled the ThinkCentre neo 50a 24 Gen 7 as the successor to the Lunar Lake-powered Gen 6 model that went on sale in July. Now, the larger 27-inch version is following suit.

Lenovo has listed the ThinkCentre neo 50a 27 Gen 7 on its PSREF website, revealing two major changes from the previous Gen 6 variants. For one, the new AIO will be offered with a choice of Intel Core Series 3 processors, including the Core 5 320 and Core 7 350. These will be paired with up to 32GB of soldered LPDDR5X-7467 single-channel RAM. Storage options top out at a 1TB SSD out of the box, but there is a second M.2 PCIe 4.0 x4 slot for adding another SSD.

The second major upgrade is the display. Lenovo has increased the refresh rate from 100Hz to 120Hz and bumped the brightness slightly from 300 to 350 nits. The remaining specifications are largely unchanged, with a choice of touch and non-touch IPS panels featuring an FHD (1920 x 1080) resolution and 99% sRGB coverage.

For connectivity, the ThinkCentre neo 50a 27 Gen 7 includes two full-function USB-C 3.2 Gen 2x2 ports, four USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports, HDMI 2.1 input and output, a headphone jack, and Gigabit Ethernet. It will also be offered with either Wi-Fi 6 or Wi-Fi 7, depending on the region. Other highlights include 3W stereo speakers and a 5MP webcam with privacy shutter.

Pricing and availability

Lenovo has listed regional ThinkCentre neo 50a 27 Gen 7 SKUs across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the UAE. However, the company has not yet confirmed pricing or when the new all-in-one will go on sale.
