How can a traditionally high-priced Dell XPS notebook compete with the MacBook Neo? An upcoming Dell launch demonstrates that this is indeed possible without sacrificing too many features for demanding users, such as up to 32 GB of RAM and a Panther Lake CPU option. However, almost all details have already been leaked ahead of time.

Dell has introduced new Wildcat Lake laptops globally. Sold under its Pro 3 Series and Pro 5 Series, the new 14-inch and 16-inch laptops can also be equipped with up to 48 GB of RAM, a 70 Wh battery and 120 Hz displays.

The new Wildcat Lake family of mini PC from Beelink is powered by the Intel Core 3 Processor 304 and comes in three variants: an entry-level that supports only LPDDR5 RAM, an advanced model that additionally supports desktop-grade DDR5 RAM and a NAS model with support for 2 HDDs and a PCIe 4.0 SSD.

Intel wants to offer cheaper Windows laptops by drawing on the already very mature smartphone supply chain in China. A reference laptop is intended to show that this does not necessarily require design compromises.

The Asus Vivobook 16SE 2026 is one of the first Intel Wildcat Lake laptops, and while its starting price is slightly higher than the MacBook Neo in China, it comes with a 144Hz display and a slightly larger 52.5Wh battery. The starting price is CNY 4,599, about $675.

The Chuwi UniBook has made its debut through an informal press release. It's an affordable Intel Wildcat Lake laptop, featuring a Core 3 304, and it undercuts the MacBook Neo in terms of price. The starting price is around $449.

The Honor Notebook X14 2026 is now available in China, and it's the first Intel Wildcat Lake laptop to hit the retail market. Its launch price is CNY 4,399, around $646, making it a direct competitor to the Apple MacBook Neo in terms of price.
