HP releases new 16-inch laptop with Intel Wildcat Lake and up to 24 GB RAM

HP has been generally bringing Intel's Wildcat Lake platform to more laptops in the last few weeks. For instance, it has just started selling the OmniBook 5 14 with the platform-topping Core 7 350. Additionally, Wildcat Lake processors have found their way into OmniBook 3 and OmniBook 5 laptops of various sizes.
Now, HP has expanded availability into its HP 200 series with the release of the HP 200 G2Ri. Also known as the HP 200 G2i, the laptop serves as an alternative to the HP 200 G2a (curr. $1199 on Amazon). At the time of publication, we can only find US store listings for the HP 200 G2Ri. Nonetheless, HP tends to sell laptops it offers in the US elsewhere, too.
In the meantime, these listings confirm the inclusion of Core 5 320, Core 5 330 and Core 7 350 processors. According to our benchmarks, a 9% performance gap exists between these three processors in the Core 7 350's favour. All SKUs ship with the same 41 Wh battery though, as well as a 16-inch IPS display. Reportedly, this display reaches 300 nits while outputting at 60 Hz and at 1,920 x 1,200 pixels in a 16:10 aspect ratio.
Moreover, one can configure up to 24 GB of RAM but only 512 GB of storage. Pricing starts at $2,499 for the Core 5 320, 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. However, configuring more powerful processor options and higher memory capacities raises prices to $3,337. Please see HP's website for more details.
