Biostar has revealed more information about its Intel Wildcat lake board
Biostar has shared more details about its BIWCL-PAT industrial motherboard. It is powered by Intel's Wildcat Lake processor and it supports up to 64 GB of DDR5 RAM, three independent displays and features extensive expansion options.

Biostar showcased its BIWCL-PAT motherboard at Computex 2026. The company has now formally introduced the motherboard, providing a more detailed breakdown of its specifications. Despite its compact dimensions, the BIWCL-PAT offers a surprisingly comprehensive selection of connectivity options, along with support for Intel’s new Wildcat Lake processors.

Measuring just 148 × 102 mm, the BIWCL-PAT uses the 3.5-inch single-board computer (SBC) form factor. It supports Intel Wildcat Lake processors (Core 3xx), with configurations ranging from the Core 3 304 to the Core 7 360. The processors have a base power rating of 15 W and feature up to six CPU cores, comprising two performance cores and four low-power efficiency cores.

Memory expansion is handled by a single DDR5-6400 SO-DIMM slot supporting up to 64 GB of RAM. Despite its small footprint, the board can drive three independent displays through HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4 and LVDS connections. The former two support resolutions of up to 4K at 60 Hz, while the LVDS interface is limited to 1,920 × 1,200 pixels.

Expansion options include three M.2 slots, each intended for a different purpose. The M.2 2242/2280 Key-M slot supports NVMe SSDs over PCIe 4.0 x2, while an M.2 3042/3052 Key-B slot accommodates 4G/5G cellular modules via PCIe 4.0 x1 and USB 3.2. The latter also gets a dedicated SIM slot. Finally, an M.2 2230 Key-E slot supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth modules.

For wired connectivity, the BIWCL-PAT features two 2.5Gbps Ethernet ports powered by Intel I226-LM and I226-V controllers. Other interfaces include two USB 3.2 ports, four USB 2.0 ports, two RS232/422/485 serial connections, two additional RS232 connections and an 8-bit digital I/O header.

Biostar has also included TPM 2.0 support, while the motherboard is compatible with Windows 11 IoT Enterprise 24H2 and Ubuntu 24.04. It accepts power through a 9–24 V DC input and can operate at temperatures ranging from 0°C to 60°C.

As expected, this isn’t a motherboard intended for conventional gaming or desktop PCs. Biostar is targeting system integrators developing industrial automation equipment, edge computing solutions, point-of-sale systems and self-service kiosks. The company has not revealed pricing or a specific availability date for the BIWCL-PAT.
